The Banta diet plan is based on the fact that different food components influence your metabolism very differently. This approach is in clinical use since 1920s but only recently it became dieter-friendly. Here's what it's all about.

Fat Burning Index is a tool that allows scientists to define potential influences of foods on lipolysis - the process of "burning" body fat for fuel. The higher the Index, the more fat your body will burn. To lose more body fat, you should eat foods with high Fat Burning Index.

Fat Burning Index concept was developed by Dr. Zilberter. It is based on a scientific formula that takes into account the food's carbohydrate, fat and protein content.

Banta Diet uses Fat Burning Index to create recipes and meal plans that will help you lose fat without watching portions or counting calories, carbs, or fat.

Now we suggest that you go to the post Days 1 to 7 or right to the Day 1 plan. Remember: the first week on Banta Diet allows your body to jump-start the process of switching from using carbohydrates for fuel to burning the fat for energy. The idea behind is pretty much the same as the famous Fat Fast.

Remember that these 7 days are completely different from the rest of Banta Diet

Starting the Day 8, you'll stop counting calories, carbs, or control portions. However, what plan will suit you best, will depends on your WEEK 1 results. Because of that, we'll ask you to tell us how were you doing during your days 1 to 7, then we'll subscribe you to start your individualized days 8 to 14 program and so on, until your day 30 is over.

    * Fat Burning Rate: number of fat milligrams burnt by 1 kg of body fat in 1 minute
    * Fat Burning Index: shows how many times amount of fat in a food or meal exceeds the amount of protein and carbohydrate combined
